IGUS® GMBH AND SKS MEKANIIKKA OY COOPERATION HAS ENDED 10TH OF NOVEMBER 2019
igus® GmbH and SKS Mekaniikka Oy co-operation has ended 10th of November concerning igus® energy chains and bearings.
We have been negotiating ever since igus® informed a change in their distributor chain in Finland. In September we had a meeting in Germany where focus was to find a way to respect the agreements made between SKS Mekaniikka and their clients and cause as little as possible harm to igus® users and SKS customers. In addition, one of the negotiation targets was to extend the cooperation period to serve Finnish igus® customers well.
Unfortunately, later on igus® presented us a list of demands, which we could not in any way find to be acceptable in good business manners. 6th of November we had a meeting in Finland where igus® presented a demand that would have meant a breach of contract made between SKS Mekaniikka and customers and to release a confidential information to third party. If we didn't fulfil the demand, igus® would terminate SKS partnership with immediate effect.
Naturally, we denied to fulfil their demands. On 10th of November we received a short email from igus® stating that they will put their threat into effect. This will cause harm for igus® users in Finland, which SKS Mekaniikka will try to minimize by all means available. Igus® informed that orders SKS Mekaniikka had placed by 8th of November will be delivered.
SKS Mekaniikka’s key values are long term and confidential partnership with customers and suppliers. More than 30 years co-operation with igus® will end, but we can assure that equal products will be available in wide SKS Mekaniikka product and service portfolio also in the future.
